Rick began his career with Edelen & Corso, where his natural leadership and passion for helping clients quickly set him apart. The company later became Edelen, Edelen & Shaw, where Rick served as Vice President and continued to guide buyers and sellers with the same hands-on care that would become his hallmark.
In 1995, Rick founded Rick Shaw Realtors, a family-owned Louisville brokerage built on personal service, ethical business practices, and client satisfaction. Over the years, he has mentored and trained countless local agents — including his children, Brent and Angie Shaw — who continue to carry on his commitment to excellence in Kentucky real estate.
Rick’s approach to real estate has always been rooted in community. In the early days, he introduced himself door-to-door in the Douglass Hills neighborhood, building genuine relationships that earned him the nickname “Mr. Douglass Hills.” To date, Rick has successfully completed over 300 home sales in Douglass Hills alone, with many clients returning to him again and again over the years.
